Carl Goebel (1824 - 1899), a painter. Son of the painter Carl Peter Goebel, he was educated and given his first drawing tuition by his grandfather, Josef Klieber. After studying painting at the Academy in Vienna, Goebel undertook numerous study tours to Italy, Paris and from 1861 to Belgrade too. He painted portraits, genre scenes, landscapes, mostly in the technique of watercolors and lithographs. The National Museum has three of his works. (Not signed).
